Radio Hall of Fame - Old Time Radio

Radio Hall of Fame

Music, news, comedy, drama, and conversation with the most celebrated entertainers of the day -- this was the Radio Hall of Fame. From Dec. 5, 1943 to April 28, 1946, the show aired on Blue Network/ABC, first for 60 minutes, and later whittled down to 30 minutes.

From the outset, the show was beset by controversial questions. The premier publication, Variety produced Radio Hall of Fame. Some people felt this was an ethical conflict because Variety was the foremost outlet for entertainment reviews, and some wondered if Variety would be able to remain objective when it came time to review acts that appeared on the show.
